What is Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership?

A Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) is an independently-led NHS working group for mothers, birthing people and families to share their maternity experiences in Lancashire and South Cumbria with commissioners and providers. By sharing their experiences, they are involved in the design, improvement and implementation of maternity services. This ensures that services are designed to meet the needs of local women, parents and families.

MNVP was introduced after the publication of 'Better Births' National Maternity Review in 2016, which set out a clear vision for maternity services across England to become safer, more personalised, with better mental health care and multi-professional working.
