How to get here
The Blackpool Victoria Hospital address including post code can be
found on the front of this leaflet. The hospital is situated adjacent
to Blackpool Zoo. From the A583 Preston New Road turn onto
A587 South Park Drive, which then becomes East Park Drive. For
the main entrance to the hospital, carry on to Four Lanes Ends
roundabout. Take the fourth exit and turn onto Whinney Heys Road.
The main parking provision is available in the Multi Story or limited
parking is available opposite Outpatients.

close to the hospital entrances.

Car Parking
For the location of car parks, see the site plan overleaf. When parking in pay and display car parks, please display your ticket clearly on your windscreen. At peak times you may have to wait for a space to become available. Short stay and drop off spaces are free.

Parking Concessions
The Trust appreciates that the cost of parking may cause concern for
some patients and visitors. In support of this we offer the following
concessions at the discretion of the matron or ward manager;
• A parent / guardian or carer of a child who is an inpatient at the
hospital will receive a subsidised parking rate of £4.00 per day
for the first two weeks (tariff rate £8.50) thereafter free parking.
• One relative or carer of a patient who has been in hospital for 2
weeks will be offered free parking.
• Frequent outpatient attendees, defined as those who are required
to attend hospital for an appointment at least three times within a
month for at least three months will receive free parking.
• Relatives & carers of patients who are at end of life are offered
up to 3 free parking permits for a period of 7 days at a time.
• One relative or carer of patients who are critically ill are offered
up to 3 free parking permits for a period of 7 days at a time.
Registered Disabled Drivers
Parking charges are free of charge when clearly displaying a valid
blue badge. There are designated spaces close to the hospital
entrances for disabled badge holders and also on the ground floor
of the main entrance multi-storey car park where instructions are
displayed at the pay machines on how to obtain free parking.
Parking Rules
Vehicles in breach of car parking rules, which are displayed in the car
parks, may be subject to a Parking Enforcement Notice. The notice
will carry a £60 charge, reduced to £30 if paid within 14 days.

Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme (HTCS)
If you’re referred to hospital or other NHS premises for specialist
NHS treatment or diagnostic tests by a doctor, dentist or another
primary care health professional, you may be able to claim a refund
of reasonable travel costs under the Healthcare Travel Costs
