If you attend school and have a medical condition such as asthma, epilepsy or allergies, your School Nurse can work with your school to ensure that you are well supported.

A care plan may be required which your School Nurse can support you with.

School Nursing can train school staff on the administration of medication such as EpiPens, rescue medication for epilepsy and inhalers. Our aim is to ensure your safety whilst you are at school and make attending education a happy and stress-free environment where you do not need to worry about your health.

School staff will provide a locked cupboard to store any medication and oversee management of this.  If you ever need medical support whilst in school, then a parent or carer would always be contacted by school staff.
