Try to have a high calorie snack in-between meals and at supper time.

These could be:

  • Fancy biscuits (chocolate, toffee, jam or cream varieties),
  • Yogurts (full fat yogurts, full fat fromage frais, custard pots, fruit or chocolate mousse),
  • Cakes (gateau, cream cakes, muffins, cupcakes) - add extra double cream,
  • Crackers (add butter and cheese, cheese spread, meat paste, pate or jam),
  • Ice creams (ice cream, choc-ice, iced lolly),
  • Fruit (tinned fruit in syrup, add ice cream, custard, evaporated milk or double cream),
  • Snacks (crisps, nuts, sausage rolls, raisins, chips),
  • Bread (toast, fruit bread, malt loaf, scotch pancakes, crumpets) - add butter and jam,
  • Pastries (scone with butter, jam and double cream, croissant, pastries, brioche, flapjack),
  • Chocolate (chocolate bars, toffees, fudge, mints, boiled sweets, sweet popcorn),
  • Desserts (trifle, creme caramel, egg custards, cheesecake),
  • Savouries (chunks of cheese, cold cocktail sausages).
