Hot on the heels of success for our apprentices at Salford University’s awards earlier this month, the Trust has won an honour itself: Blackpool and Fylde College’s Large Employer of the Year Award 2024.

The college’s apprenticeship awards recognise the outstanding achievement of apprentices and employers alike and celebrate their real contribution to building skills and economic prosperity. The Trust beat competition from both local and national organisations that pay the Apprenticeship Levy.

Mark Hayes, Apprenticeship and Widening Participation Lead, and Kirsty Hawley, Apprenticeship Manager, received the award on behalf of the Trust from the college’s business development team manager, Katherine Higgins.

He said: “It’s a proud moment to receive this award. It acknowledges all the hard work that goes into making our apprenticeship programme move from strength to strength. We would like to thank all those who support the programme at BTH and would also like the opportunity to thank college colleagues for their continued support.”
