After a series of nail-biting races, it was Drowning Seagulls 2 who powered their way to victory, taking first place in a thrilling final. Close behind were YourGym Lytham, securing second place, while Drowning Seagulls 1 claimed third.

While the competition on the water was fierce, the fundraising efforts on land were just as impressive. Drowning Seagulls 1 stood out as the top fundraising team, raising an incredible £5,500, a testament to their dedication and support for Blue Skies.

The Dragon Boat Festival continues to be one of the charity’s most anticipated events, showcasing the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone involved. From the teams who raced to the supporters who cheered them on, every contribution has made a real difference.

Profits raised will go towards enhancing patient care and supporting projects across Blackpool Teaching Hospitals, helping to make a positive impact on the experience of patients and their families.

A huge thank you to all 25 teams, supporters and volunteers who made this year’s event such a success. Blue Skies look forward to welcoming everyone back next year for another unforgettable day on the water.
