Welcome to our Occupational Health Service. We are proud to be accredited by the Safe, Effective, Quality Occupational Health Service (SEQOHS), demonstrating our commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence‑based occupational health care that meets national standards.

Our service works in partnership with employers and employees to promote wellbeing, prevent work-related ill health, and support people to remain safe, healthy, and productive at work.

We regularly review and improve our service to ensure we meet both regulatory requirements and the needs of those we support.

Occupational Health has a multi-disciplinary team made up of:

  • Department Manager
  • Specialist Physician
  • Occupational Health Nurses
  • Clinical Nurse Advisors
  • Administrative team
  • Physiotherapist
  • Counsellors (specialising in hypnotherapy and CBT)

Our available services are:

  • Immunisations, vaccinations and blood screening
  • Health and wellbeing guidance
  • Absence management, workplace advice and referrals
  • Health surveillance
  • Physiotherapy
  • Therapies including counselling, CBT, hypnotherapy.

The team offers the following vaccinations:

  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Typhoid
  • Meningitis - ACWY 
  • BCG
  • MMR
  • Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio
  • Varicella
  • Pertussis

The team offer the following blood screenings:

  • Measles
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • T-spot
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • EPP bloods: Hep B, Hep C, HIV.

We are also available to provide robust, clinical assessments of needlestick injuries and ensure adequate follow up in line with National Guidance.

Our Occupational Health team offer the following assessments:

  • Driver's medicals
  • Spirometry testing
  • Audiometry testing
  • Immunisation programmes
  • Skin assessments
  • Night workers risk assessment
  • Laboratory workers assessment
  • Clinician appointments for health needs identified during pre-employment screening

Occupational Health can assess the employee's fitness to perform a role which they have been recruited for. We do this fully in line with the Equality Act 2010. 

Occupational Health can make pre-employment reports for individuals who may require adjustments or workplace recommendations to commence their post. 

We use a bespoke questionnaire to make the initial assessment and assess each case on an individual basis.

We are also able to provide Fitness to Work certificates on the basis of information found.

We are also able to undertake pre-employment assessments including:

  • Audiometry testing
  • Immunisation programmes
  • Skin assessments
  • Clinician appointments for health needs which may be identified during pre-employment screening.

We provide all these services in line with National Guidelines depending on the role or organisation. 

We provide robust clinical assessments of needlestick/splash injuries and ensure adequate follow up in line with National Guidance.
