Your Midwife or Health Visitor will be able to sign-post you to local Contraceptive and Sexual Health services or you can obtain contraception by booking an appointment with your GP.

After you have delivered your baby, discussion about contraception may be included in your Post-Natal Check if your GP offers this consultation. If you have just delivered your baby, you should be aware it is possible to conceive again before you have had your first period following your delivery.

Your GP is responsible for Cervical Cytology Screening (Smear Test) and will provide you with appointments.

Your choice of contraceptive method will be individual to you but below is a guide to different contraceptive methods.
