Our Recurrent Miscarriage Service provides investigations and treatment for couples who experience recurrent early pregnancy loss.

We accept referrals for patients who have experienced three or more early pregnancy losses (prior to 14 weeks).

We also accept referrals for patients who have experienced one or more late miscarriages (14-23 weeks) or other pregnancy losses below 24 weeks according to the most recent RCOG guidance.

As part of the process for investigating pregnancy loss, we typically perform a series of blood tests, review of any relevant prior investigations and carry out an in-depth ultrasound assessment of the womb with the aim of identifying any potential causes for miscarriage.

Based on the clinical findings, we outline a recurrent miscarriage plan that accounts for the potential findings of these investigations, any additional supportive therapies that may help improve the outcome of a future pregnancy and a pregnancy care plan to ensure there is sufficient surveillance to help promote the best possible outcome for each woman’s pregnancy.
