The appointment means that he will be responsible for overseeing point of care ultrasound training, monitoring training progress and reporting back to the society.
Dr Juno said: "This is a notable achievement, and I am the only appointed FAMUS supervisor at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals, and my details are now listed on the SAM website. This is both a personal and departmental honour and it reflects the growing recognition of our efforts in ultrasound education.”
Additionally, the Trust's ultrasound training has been endorsed by the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS), the regulatory body for ultrasound teaching and training in the UK.
Dr Juno added: “It's a valuable milestone that positions our programme more favourably across NHS trusts and deaneries and will help us attract wider participation, as we can train our trainees more confidently and effectively.
”This recognition allows us to use the BMUS logo and have our courses advertised on their platform, which significantly enhances our credibility."
