Sandra's kindness brings comfort to relatives in MECU

After visiting her close friend Peter Clark in hospital, Sandra Benz was inspired to do something that would help others to get some sleep when staying at a hospital bedside overnight.

With that in mind, Sandra contacted Blue Skies about raising funds for an overnight chair for MECU. The chair, which folds into a bed, is now being used in the unit to provide a comfortable resting place for relatives who have a seriously unwell relative.

Sandra said “I wanted to do this in memory of Peter who was such a dear friend and I hope it will make a big difference to other relatives. The money came from donations given by Peter’s friends and family at his funeral so I’m delighted that it’s here and will help others.”
