Singing siblings Grace and Clara, aka The Redfearn Sisters, will be hitting the high notes this Friday at Lytham’s 1940s event, raising money for Blue Skies.

The Redfearn Sisters.jpgWith the girls’ Mum, Kila being Blue Skies’ Head of Charity, it’s a real team effort, raising funds through An Evening of Swing as part of Blue Skies 30th anniversary fundraising campaign.

It’s The Redfearn Sisters’ second appearance at the event, now with a growing fanbase having wowed thousands of people at Lytham’s Christmas event last year. With a string of local gigs planned, they’ll soon be providing backing vocals for Tony Christie at Lytham Hall’s Proms Music Extravaganza.

Grace said “As we’re close in age, we’ve always enjoyed singing together at home and then a year or two ago, decided to take it further and sing at some local venues. Clara’s a fan of Ella Fitzgerald and we both love music from the 1920s era. We’re delighted to be back at the 1940s event.”

At the Blue Skies event you’ll be able to hear favourites such as “Putting on the Ritz” and a cover of Rosemary Clooney’s “Mambo Italiano”.

Entry is by donation and the evening starts at 7pm.
