This week, starting on Tuesday, 11 June:  Main Entrance Multi-Storey Car Park:
There will be some minor disruption to the car park whilst we are installing a new Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and barrier system.  The current system has now become obsolete and is due an upgrade.  The new system replaces the chip-coin system with the ANPR technology.  Patients will attend the barriers and they will lift automatically recording the number plate.  Patients then can park and when exiting the hospital can attend the pay station, type in their registration number and then make appropriate payment.  Once payment is made, they can exit the car park and the barriers will automatically open.

For a couple of days this week we will have to lift the barriers to allow the replacement units to be installed.  Any lane diversions, or changes to the normal operation of the car park will be clearly signposted.

The works on the patient parking section of the car park are due to complete on Friday, 14 June. We will have additional staff on hand to support the transition to the new system.
