Joan's birthday wish supports patient care at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals

In December, Joan Tucker from Preston celebrated a milestone birthday in style - with a disco and buffet shared with her closest family and friends. 

To mark her 80th birthday, Joan made a truly selfless request. She asked her loved ones to skip the birthday presents and instead make a donation to Blue Skies charity instead. 

Thanks to Joan's incredible kindness and the generosity of her guests, £433 was raised for the charity. The money raised will go towards enhancing patient care at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals.
