Thanks to the generosity of everyone who donated and the support of local businesses, every patient who woke up in one of our hospitals on Christmas Day had a Christmas present to open.
That's around 950 people who might otherwise have no gifts at all and perhaps not even get a visitor.
That's why Give a Gift is so important.
Have you ever wondered what happens when you donate to Give a Gift? We went behind the scenes with Blue Skies' team, plus some amazing volunteers, to see for ourselves.
Watch the short video below to see the teams preparing the gifts for Christmas Day and you can hear from Head of Charity, Kila, about why it's one of her favourite campaigns of the year.
Give a Gift has been supported by donations from the general public and by many very kind businesses, including:
- Dunelm
- Asda
- Morrisons
- AFC Fylde
- Kids Planet
- The Air Balloon
- Wellbeing Hub
- Blackpool Transport who provided a bus and driver so that we could collect donations.
Thank you to our Blue Skies volunteers and Jordan, Eden, Ella and Sara who volunteered from Network Rail, Manchester.
Thank you to everyone who supported Blue Skies Give a Gift campaign this year and helped to put a smile on our patient's faces.
