Blackpool resident Diane Arnold hosted a “Female Festival BBQ” event in her own garden, filled it with female friends and raised an incredible £1500 for Blackpool Teaching Hospitals' Breast Cancer Unit, via Blue Skies.

Diane BBQ Blue Skies.jpgFrom 2pm till late, Diane’s garden was filled with music thanks to local vinyl legends Fenny & Benny spinning the tunes for the sixty women invited by Diane to support this worthy cause. Diane also had the invaluable support of four men who helped keep the barbecue going and the drinks flowing throughout the day.

Local businesses including Solace Hair & Beauty, Nails & Beauty by Beth, Paige & Co, Vonnie's Nails & Beauty, Caio Caio Italian Restaurant, and Revival Tattoo generously donated amazing gifts, while Diane’s friends and family also chipped in with a mountain of raffle prizes.

Diane said:"I am absolutely over the moon this year to be able to share that the 'Female Festival BBQ' raised a massive £1500!"
