The awards were held by Medical Education Leaders UK and Dr Ishaq received the commendation for the category of Outstanding Contribution by an LED Tutor.

Dr Ishaq’s role as a Trust Lead for LEDs and IMGs involves supporting and guiding them in their work and professional development.

She was nominated by our former Director of Clinical and Medical Education, Dr Kate Goldberg, with supporting comments collected from some of the LEDs working at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals.

Dr Ishaq said: “Teaching and supporting junior colleagues has always been more than a role to me — it's a passion. To be acknowledged among such inspiring educators is truly humbling.

“This recognition motivates me to continue striving for excellence in medical education, creating supportive learning environments, and helping future healthcare professionals grow with confidence and compassion”.

The Trust wants to congratulate Dr Ishaq and thank her for the dedication to supporting the education and development of her colleagues.
