A Trust physiotherapy apprentice has been honoured for her commitment to helping patients lead active and healthier lives.
At the recent Active Blackpool Community Awards, Holly Andersen was awarded the prize for Health Care Champion.
The awards recognise and celebrate the role that sport plays within the community.

Holly’s win was based on her nomination by a colleague and patient feedback. The relative of a patient said: “Holly helped her tremendously and to take comfort in that she was a well-deserving winner of this award”.
Holly said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be making positive changes within my local community and using my new skills and workplace experiences to make a positive impact throughout my physiotherapy apprenticeship.
“I have won numerous awards over the past three and a half years including: AHP Clinical Apprentice of the Year, Rising Star at Salford Apprenticeship Awards and Blackpool Teaching Hospitals’ Learner of the Year.
“I hope to continue to showcase my skills and hope to make a real change in my community and inspire future apprentices!
“After all, I started this because I wanted to improve my knowledge to truly help people - patients, colleagues and students alike!”
