Blackpool Teaching Hospitals is celebrating the outstanding achievements of five dedicated nurses and midwives who have recently completed a Master of Science degree from Lancaster University.
Balancing demanding clinical roles and personal lives with a postgraduate study, the group has demonstrated remarkable commitment to their professional development. Congratulations to:

- Jane Booth, senior Midwife - MSC Professional Practice
- Leanne Kay, Assistant Divisional Director of Nursing - MSC Professional Practice
- Rachael Bailey-Brocklebank, Matron - MSC Professional Practice
- Jennifer Craig, Clinical Educator - MSC Professional Practice

“Personally, I decided to enrol on this course to grow my skills professionally but to also have impact on those around me which will in turn improve the quality of our maternity services and experience for our patients and their families.”
Jane Booth, who works with Holly added: “I feel extremely proud to have completed this MSc and excited for the future as I look to develop my career in midwifery.”
Rachel Bailey-Brocklebank, Clinical Matron has worked for the Trust for 12 years reflected on the course commenting: “As a Clinical Matron, part of my role is to guide and support my teams during difficult situations. A highlight of the degree for me was developing new skills to better help them. It has provided me with further practical tools to lead my teams in delivering a safe, caring and respectful service for our patients and their loved ones.”
