A senior member of the Trust’s domestic team says winning a top industry award was ‘humbling.’

Rising from a frontline domestic role, Audrey has been a trusted and influential presence for more than 27 years, shaping practice, supporting major transitions and mentoring future leaders. One career highlight was the part she played in implementing the 2021 cleaning standards.
Audrey commented:” Receiving this award after 27 years is so humbling, after reading all the other nominations I feel so privileged to have been chosen as the winner.
“Domestic services are integral in a hospital to ensure a clean safe environment for all our patients, staff and visitors, often going unnoticed as we go about our duties.
“This is my local hospital, my family members are also treated here so that keeps myself and the rest of our teams focused on delivering service excellence every single day.
“I feel very privileged to have spent my career supporting my colleagues and our patients.”
Colleagues have praised Audrey's calm leadership, deep operational knowledge and dedication to her community.
Jonathan Hayter, Contract Manager added: “Audrey’s contribution has shaped the way we deliver our service and her dedication to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness across the hospital is exceptional. Nothing is ever too much for Audrey and she consistently goes above and beyond in everything she does. This lifetime achievement award is a testament to her outstanding commitment.”
Congratulations and thank you to Audrey for her much deserved award and recognition.
