'Absolute legend' Emily wins Volunteer award

Congratulations to Emily Eaton who has been named Volunteer of the Year at the Coastal Radio Local Hero Awards 2025!

Emily volunteers for Blue Skies and has been with the team for around a year.

She said: “I’m delighted to receive this award - it shows when you put your mind to something, you can achieve anything”.

Blue Skies’ Head of Charity, Kila Redfearn said: “Emily is the heart and soul of so much of what we do here at Blue Skies. Her dedication is unmatched! She is work-driven, passionate, and always ready to jump in and do everything. To put it simply: she is an absolute legend!”

Emily volunteered at BTH having started through Project Search and wanted to give something back to the hospital having been a patient here herself.
